HOW TO READ A QR IMAGE
From screenshot to decoded content
- Choose, drop, or paste a PNG, JPG, or WebP image.
- Wait while the browser reads one QR code from the image.
- Review the decoded text, then copy it or open an HTTP or HTTPS link yourself.
Images can be up to 10 MB and 16 megapixels. Crop around one sharp, complete code and keep its white border visible for the best chance of a result.
Need to make a code instead? Use the static QR generator →Does my image get uploaded?
No. Image decoding runs in your browser. Your image and decoded QR contents are not sent to a server.
Which image formats are supported?
Use PNG, JPG, or WebP. The maximum file size is 10 MB, and the image must be 16 megapixels or smaller.
Why can’t it read my code?
Try cropping closer while keeping the white border, or choose a sharper image with better contrast. Damaged codes may be unreadable. For multiple codes, crop to one.
Does this check whether a link is safe?
No. It displays the encoded content. Check the destination yourself before opening it or entering information.
